Our friends at Poppy and Perle are incredible body artists, some of the best in the biz. They use a combination of face and body paints and EcoGlitter to create festival, party and event looks. We asked them what some of their favourite looks for Halloween were so we could inspire you to take your Halloween party makeup to the next level. Here we go!
1. Vampires
Vampires are a popular choice at Halloween. We can make them super scary with ageing lines and dark eyes or pink with laced edges and lots of glitter!
2. Tribal Ice Queen
This unique Tribal Ice Queen look was done for a personal portfolio photo shoot - a torso body paint inspired by female warriors. We added chunky glitter and gold leaf for added detail.
3. Terrifying Teeth
Sometimes we get requests for half face designs for people who don’t wish to have their whole face painted. This was at a ‘from dusk til dawn’ themed birthday party where the guests all wanted to look as gruesome as possible.
4. Halloween Glam Eyes
A glam design popular with the ladies at halloween who wish to avoid the blood and gore. Bright colours and glitter for a stunning look.
5. Glittery Pumpkin Eyes
You can't have Halloween without a pumpkin design. This one's quick and effective. Speed is often of the essence on our event based jobs where we have a big queue of people to paint and 3 - 5 minutes per design! We love adding bio-glitter to our designs to add texture and for coverage - and customers love it too.
6. Love Themed Day of the Dead Skull
This design entailed a portfolio chest and face paint from our studio in Hackney Wick. Alongside our event and party bookings and festival work we like to design new work and practice as much as possible on friends, family and any willing participants!
7. Clowns
Clowns are another super popular request over Halloween. Ranging from the downright petrifying to the cute pink ones! We pride ourselves on our bespoke designs - we try to ensure no two are ever the same and think that using people’s imaginations and matching to outfits, party themes and people’s unique colouring helps us provide a specialist and bespoke service to every one of our clients.
8. Devilish
A devilish mask for this party reveller at a private members club in Soho. Halloween is by far our busiest time of year when everyone wants to be transformed with our brushes! It’s an exciting but full on few weeks of skeletons, witches and monsters galore!
9. Skulls
A colourful take on a classic skull design. We love trying out new techniques and this splattered effect was a lot of fun. Over the half term, for Shocktober, we paint at Tulley’s Spooktacular Scare Park in Sussex - a wonderfully scary mazed production that is certainly not for the faint hearted. Come and get a face paint and say hello!
Now you've got the inspiration, get creative! Send us your Halloween party pics if you want to be featured on our Instagram.
